Received a defective receiver from them and it took a long time to get the issue straightened out. Finally after three weeks of back and forth or no reply from them at all, I finally received a RMA# from them to send back the defective item.

Just to let everyone know that it took me from 5/6 until 7/1 to get a refund deposited in my PayPal account from Hobby-Lobby. Their customer service sucks. If you do have an issue with them ask to speak to Brian. He was the only one that was able to finally resolve my issue regarding the refund.

Sounds frustrating! I have bought one thing off them, a DX6i tx, and actually had a really good experience with customer service. Maybe I had the same guy you had and he may be the only one that actually cares there!! I had similar things with xheli which really put me off them. Hope the next purchase works out for you ;D

I had the same experience with a refund. Their RMA form wants your account number,,,,but,,,,you have no account number. Well,,,you do,,but you have to call and get it,,,it doesn't show up on 'your account' summary. It took over a month to get the refund.
I can't complain too much. I bought their F-4 Camo 70mm EDF jet,,,,,a week later I got an e-mail from them asking me to write a review on it. I went to Hobby-Lobby and wrote a nice review on the F-4. 3 weekas later I get an e-mail saying that I had won their 'review contest'. It was part of their promotion thru RCgroups BB. I had won a new SU-34 Fullback Twin EDF Jet with 10 servos and retracts. These are not for sale in the USA yet but when they get their first shipment,,I'll get one free. It's a $300 jet. SWEET!
Looks like I'll get it in about a month!!

Glad to see I'm not the only one that experienced a return problem with them. Really cool you won a contest but the fact remains with their returns it's crazy. You go to "my account" and there is nothing. No account number, no records of the transaction, nothing like I never purchased a thing and after getting completely frustrated they had the nerve to send me a customer service survey. They stated that they were happy that my issue was resolved. Resolved, they still had my money and I still had the defective eceiver..

My first experience with online stores after getting back into the RC hobby a few years ago was with Hobby Lobby. They were always responsive and replaced defective products, processed refunds and generally provided good service and prompt delivery.
Getting product tech help was another story. No one seemed to know their a$$ from their elbow. One good thing about it was it forced me to figure out most things for myself.
The main reason I stopped shopping with them was pricing.
I think CS is going down hill with too many estores. Shrinking sales have forced layoffs and the most hard hit area is CS.
Happy landings
