By the way.You see how the aluminum frame is put together?Well, the lower half can be fastened to the belly of the G2 to house and protect the battery.Whatever you use.I had a 2000mah annd a 2200mah.

Nice Mac,
Are you thinking about a Creata? I've seen them and they look nice. I saw in your other thread you bought co-pilot. Is this the heli you put it on?... nope... i just checked it was a G2.

Doozer,I see in one of your pix that you also have a co-pilot.I don't however see a heli it would work on.What do you use it on?
Oh and no,I don't think I'll need a Creata. It is literally exactly like the ones I put together.Nothing to learn there.

I had it on an extremely modified HBFP (in name only). Actually it's a Hybrid Mutt. If you follow the HBFP / Guru-z Neon / Xeon thread, I'm going to be putting in on the Xeon frame: I cringe when I look at the wires. I had them all secured though. That's why I'm going with the Xeon. It's roomier. The heli evolved even more from this point, bigger motor, stiffer blades, 3 different ESC's, all metal head... these little birds take a lickin' . Not a ton of moving parts because its FP, so its an easy setup. No pitch curves.

I LOVE that first picture with the box-o-parts!!!
These are great builds that you two have done!
My box-o-parts is growing, too, but's not at a point yet where I can build up a Frankenstein heli.
Good jobs! Kent

By the way,the first two F40's there,I didn't take those pix.The metal head isn't even my heli. It's a stock pic from the site it came from.It was exactly the same though. The second, with the brushless, that is the ebay pic from when I bought it.I never even tried it.Just wanted to see it.I resold it the day after I got it. The last one is mine,or more accurately,Jefferies. He has bought almost every Walkera heli I ever laid hands on.
I just wanted to clear up the pix in case the owner of the pix ever see them ;D

Ernie McDowell is back. I recognize the Exceed Falcon 40 brushless motor that was sold on Ebay for $100.00. Glad you are on this forum.
19000RPM, Raygun, and some early old timers have also migrated to this forum. Apparently, RCDiscuss will censor and barr you if they don't like what you are posting. That happened to me recently.

Hi RTF: I think most everyone over 'there' as well as here knows what those worthless bastids did to you. Certiainly most everyone here does.
I will not post over there again, and unless something is unavailable somewhere else, that store (and the miriad of sister stores) will not get my business.
When they did that to you, that broke the camels back for me.
Take care, and I'm sure glad you made it over here! Kent

I sold it for a hundred.I hovered it for like five seconds. It flew.I swear.I wasn't interested in seeing it fly.I was interested in what they used.I sold it.The guy attacked me on rcdiscuss.com because I gave him the link.I wanted to help him fly it.He tried it before he talked to me.He then said it spun up slow and flopped on its left side.Classic broken head core.I swear I hovered it before I boxed it.Ask Jeffery.Ask puppetteer666.I will never sell something that won't fly.I sell everything so cheap, why try to cheat?Jeffery is still to this day flying my #68B.The ones I put in the pix in another poster. The black one and the red one.I sent them both with batteries, chargers and TX's to him for $100. I don't ever try to cheat.I cheat myself on every sale. When I'm done with it,I'm done. I don't get into the fleet thing. I just want to learn it,fly it and be done with it. Move on. I have a G2 now that I will send to someone for the postage. No electronics and a few broken linkages.Free.That is how I cheat ;D Send me an address and put the postage in my paypal. I am building this G2 but I can't find anything in the bird I want.

I'm sure it flew. The brushless motor is too strong and the whip lash could break the blades and the plastic rotor core head. I have done the brushless mod for the Exceed Falcon 40 (Aka Walkera #4) and I can tell you that the brushless motor that was on that Falcon 40 was too strong and will be difficult to control during flight. I have tested a whole bunch of brushless motors and have found the correct brushless motor with a matching programmable ESC that can be tailored to suit the brushless motor. So far it works great. Will be posting a You-tube Video soon. I already did the mod for the fuses so I could do the 11.1volt LIPO mod without blowing out the Rx's MOSFET circuit. Goto : www.rtf-heli.com and view video under the Exceed Falcon 40 11.1v LIPO mod menu bar to the left side of the screen. -Happy Flying !!!
