My DX7 just really pissed me off.lol... I put all new servos on the HK450.Hitec HS45's. They were all backwards so I went into the servo reversing menu. I tapped the select button to change the first servo from memory or habit or whatever you call it. OK,I reversed it but lo and behold the curser was still on throttle since my select button isn't working right. Sh!t,I reversed the throttle and you know where that went. I have never seen damage so total and complete without a crash. The 5065 on the tail?Trash! Align RCE550 gyro?Trash! Main shaft?Trash! Rotor head?Trash! Main gear? .....You guessed it.Trash! Flybar?Pretzel. Flarbar paddles?Trash! Anti-rotation bracket?Trash. Even managed to bend the frame. Not to mention all the micro screws and fasteners that are scattered to hell and back.It cleared my work station. Have I learned nothing over these many months? LOOK at the menu screen.Just because you hit the right button doesn't meen the menu is in the right place. At least I had the foresight to remove the main blades. Oh well,it happens to everyone eventually I guess but I thought I was past this dumb crap New 450 build coming soon ;D

That sucks, Ern! But, I did the same thing a month or so back. I didn't have much heli damage, but that's when I chopped hunks out of my arm. I was stupid enough to have the blades on For the life of me, I can't even remember how I shut it down. Thank Goodness for negative pitch ;D I can set you up with an Align 450 SE CF frame complete with blocks, gear etc. Look at this thread and PM if you are interested. I can pick one up and mail it. www.rchelitalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=advancefliers&action=display&thread=1459

Thanks but I think most of the parts in that kit, save the anti-rotoation bracket, are reusable here.
I won't write the offer off though.I'll get back to you after I look around a bit.

We all have some noob cells lurking in the brain. They are poised and ready to jump in any time the brain is coasting in neutral and do exactly what they want with our unsuspecting fingers. ;D
Happy landings

Prolly the cheapest possible. This build was meant to be for my brother. I bought some stuff. He bought some stuff. We worked together on the build. He got to the point he lost sleep waiting on parts. This lil incident did nothing to help rope him in. It will cost me again no doubt to rope him back in. Seeing the heli destroy itself gave him more doubt than ever.
I have a tough row to hoe. I can do it.lol.

Bummer deal!! I have also done that, but with the ESC on slow ramp, I was able to hit the 'oh crap' button.
Are you still in need of 450 parts, Mckrackin? I have a pile of parts that are almost ready for a fire sale... Including a brand new SE kit.... Kent
