This is an uneventful boring video because I have a hang over and shakey hands. The helmet cam is also hurting my head and I'm just completely uncomfortable.I finally just gave up and put down. You can see how stable it is though

Sweet,,,,,,,it does sound like the headspeed is low. You can really tell how much your yard has shrunk,,LOL. I love to hear those blades digging when you flip it. Get that scorpion on there and see what happens.
Good build Ernie!!

Thanks Elk. I still can't find a 16T pinion in MOD 7 for 5mm shaft. The 15T is ordered but that is going to run even slower than the stock set up I have now. I haven't shifted into ST2 yet though. ST1 is 95-75-95 so there's a long dead spot through the middle of a flip or roll where the throttle is 75%.
ST2 is 100-95-100.ST2 with the 500 was 100-100-100.You should see THOSE rolls and flips.Like a methed up hummingbird ;D
If the rain ever stops,I'll hit ST2 and see how that looks.
Problem is...everything is just so dang hot even now.Motor,ESC and even the battery. The battery isn't all that hot.About the same as the 500.

Did you check that link I gave you about the guy with the pinions? He said he had a 16T and a 17T,,mode.7 and 5mm.
You know,,,I think the motor has a lot to do with the ESC getting hot,,,,right now,,,my motor is still hot but my ESC is only about 10 degrees over ambien right after flight,,it is a lot cooler than the battery. I think the motor needs a break-in period!

Aren't we running the same motor?Stock 650L? Yea,,,we are,,,,my point was/is,,,it seems like after about 40 flights,,,the motor runs a little cooler and the ESC runs a LOT cooler now. Some flights the ESC is the same temp as when it took off,,,,it just barely raises 10 degrees if at all.

I think a 17T is what I need really. The stock motor w/ 15T is 2180 RPM at the head. The Scorpion with 15T is 1939.16T is 2069.17T is 2198.
I figured all of them at 90% effeciency.

2151 or 2180.Close enough. That still says to me that the 17T should be the best choice. Now I'll have the 15,16 and 17T pinions for the Scorp ;D
