So I've been hearing good things here and there about the Phoenix simulator, but I've already got Clearview and it's not too bad. The Phoenix sim is $130 and I got Clearview for $40.
So, after already paying for the Clearview sim, is Phoenix really THAT much better than Clearview? Is there anyone here who has used both? I started on FMS and it was a good move up to the Clearview, but that was a lot less to pay.

I've had both and still use Phoenix. Phoenix is way better since I can set up the helis to fly more like the real thing. I set the headspeed, pitch, weather, ground friction...everything to make it more reallistic. The graphics are awesome too.Especially on a good computer. Luckily, you don't need a really great PC to use it though. My Phoenix is on my lappy as well as my gaming desktop.
The tutorials are pretty cool as well.
Everything you need for some fun and learning.
You can also fly with friends online in regular flying environments or in a game type set-up.

Thanks Ern. Those videos are pretty helpful. I saw the loop and roll one too. Got any more instructional videos recorded? I'd like to see how to do some even piro flips.

Sorry. My Fraps is messing up and won't do videos.Hmmmm. But,the piroflips are in the tutorial video section. No commentary obviously,'cause, how would you describe a piroflip while doing it? You can watch the TX and get the jist though.

I should know soon, as I just ordered Phoenix, too! It's supposed to be here tomorrow. I'll post what I think, once I've been able to fly it.
Best, Kent

OK, so I will finally have my Phoenix sim soon. It's at my house, but I'm out of town. Anyone got tips for setting it up? I've got a Dx7 Tx and I'd like to make it as much like my heli setups as possible. Thanks guys!
