Hi for all of you who would like to build an extended shaft or have a better stronger shaft for your heli I have been playing with music wire from hobby lobby It is harder than your mother-in-laws heart and is spring steel it will return to shape after a crash and is unbelievably straight as a pin. Now since it is so hard you can grind flat spots in it but you will not be able to drill it unless you anneal it first. Hobby-Lobby has it in metric sizes and is a must for the CX2 and Lama. I modified a Big Lama metal upgrade for my BS and used the 3mm shaft I machined a duel bearing mount for the cap that extended the shaft about a 1/2" I can bend the shaft about 2" and it returns to straight. I find that most stock shafts have about 5 to 10,000 run out this stuff is within 1 just goto hobby-lobby in search put in music wire it will take you right to it.. Ray
