Well, I think I get the dumbass of the day reward. I finally got back from out of town and replace the umbrella gears in my Trex 600. I take it to a friends house and they all want to come out and watch me fly. I've been playing on the phoenix sim a lot so I'm getting more comfortable. Everything was going just fine until I tried to do a loop. Stupid me, decided to do the loop while I was in normal mode, so when I went inverted and tried to apply negative pitch, I lost the throttle. I tried to flip it back and apply throttle quick enough, but I couldn't. I knew it was coming down, so I managed to kill the throttle an turn it into a very hard landing. Killed the landing gear and a ball link connector, but everything else looks OK. I'm just kicking myself for making such a stupid mistake. I suppose I should try to think even though I'm excited. Now I have to wait for more parts to show up.

I feel for ya.I've done similar.
Lucky too.Usually a 600's weight trashes it in heavy landings.

Very true guys, I'm lucky that the damage was so limited. I managed to get it over just enough and throttle down before it hit the ground. It was also in a field with plenty of tall grass and soft soil.
