well you guy's remember that i just finished rebuilding the belt cp ;D well I have about six flight's on her now two battery packs per session i kept hearing a tick in the heli when it was flying plus it had a little vibration going on so today i go and out on my old fogie spec's and start looking really close at the heli gears to see if i can see a damaged gear or something that would make the noise i searched everywhere it sounded like it was coming from the tail so I'm looking all over looked at the belt the tail gears found nothing moved back up the main gears nothing looked at the tail drive gear and i see this boulder stuck in the gear and when it turned it it would make the noise i was hearing had to take a jack hammer out to get this boulder out and soon as i did that the heli seemed to relaxe and now it purrs like it is supposed to ;D just thought i would share todays heli story

A boulder and a jackhammer, eh Phil? You're starting to sound like a Texan. ;D Methinks you need to move your heli pad off the gravel and onto something a bit cleaner. Good story, though. First time I've heard of a rock getting stuck in a main gear.

lol. Good story Phil.
Flying off of a sheet of plywood might keep the boulder problem down.
But, if it's yard rats I can send Paul Bunyan up there from Minnesota to kick some yard rat butt. ;D
Happy landings

Nope, r/c, Paul and Babe the Blue Ox are true "minnesotians". They hail from Brainerd, MN. Large monuments to them there so, it must be true. ;D
Happy landings
