Would have not believed it until I did it. Guys last night I downloaded Firefox and installed. Then after a little looking and reading there downloaded and add on to block ad's. And to my surprise it works not a single ad shows The following is link to there site. Click on the free download and follow instructions. Firefox 3******************************************* Then go to this link for the ad on that does the blocking. Look for file named ADBLOCKER PLUS by Wladimir Palant. Has a red looking stop sign by it with the letter ABS in the middle of the stop sign. Follow the instructions. Adblock******************************************* You will also want to install the following which is an automatic updater for the Adblocker listed above. Filter Set******************************************* Once again did not have to spend a thing it was all free. Dave

...and you thought I was kidding ;D Yep sure did but guys I'm telling you not a single ad anywhere on the site so far. Keep in mind that this could change which would mean you may have to download an update but it works and best of all its free. You do have to go in after everything is installed but perhaps between Sol and myself we could guide you through it........(ask Sol first he sugested it ;D Dave

The beauty of FireFox is that any add-ons you have installed will be updated automatically. Well, you do have the option of rejecting the update, if you so desire. FireFox itself also auto-updates if you set it as your default browser. I'm sure IE has gone this way as well, but I haven't used IE for so long I'm no longer conversant with it's features. Here's the link to some of the recommended add-ons addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/recommendedAnd here is the link to all the add-ons addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=&cat=allThat'll keep you busy reading for a while ;D

I installed Google Chrome tonight on the advice of a tech guy. Man is it fast, if your pages are loading slowly, give it a try.

I highly recommend this addon for firefox noscript.net/It will not allow any java based or flash based code that you do not approve. 90% of all hijacks are java-based and their is to much content that requires you leave it on. This will let you "approve" new sites you visit. It is a pain for the first day or two but after that it becomes second nature to use and makes surfing so much safer and secure. You can approve every permission or just a few, make it permanent or temporary, and will block ALL google-based ads. I have yet to see an ad on this site. Did you know google tracks you? With no Script it can't
