So, I thought I'd take to Trex 250 in to my backyard today while there was some wind. It didn't do so bad, and I'm giving the audio play-by-play during the flight was well.
I got one little flip in there. It worked out OK, but I'll wait till there is no more wind and a little more room before I try it again.
My nose-in hovering is getting better too. It's a blind spot I've been trying to work on.

RC,,,
What's the deal with the tail drive on that little critter? Twice I noticed that the tail blades stop long before the rotor,,,is that not a belt drive? They advertise it as auto-capable.
I'm confused!
Really nice flying RC!!

Randy, I certainly hope you're joking! Hand landing with a 250 is one thing, but with a 600, now that is just plain crazy. Not sure what you're seeing with the tail drive.
I had a bit of a hard landing with it this weekend, but it was in really tall grass and no damage at all! One thing happened though, the pinion came off the motor. damn, I really hate having that thing glued on there, wish I had some set screw to hold it in place. I took it home an pulled the pinion out and tried putting it on and I lost it somewhere. I have no idea where it went, it just went *poof* and disappeared. I've shaken the shit out of the heli trying to find it and I searched every inch of the floor. How annoying.

Semantics aside, there's no way my hand is going to be anywhere near a landing Heli. Exception being my mCX. ;D
Happy landings
