Well I think I am going to send back the Black Hawk heli I got to xheli making that 2 out of 3 I have sent back. Between coming broken in the box, then sending out the wrong parts, waiting 2 weeks, and then having the belt fall off and almost make the thing crash today (while on the ground), I have had enough. One would assume RTF and "checked by technicians" would mean it would have no major issues and could actually be flown out of the box as stated. I understand that most heli's need some tweaking but there is a limit to my patience. Combine broken and bad functioning heli with terrible back up service and you arrive at Xheli. Have no confidence in them anymore, and after having this heli for 2 weeks and only having it off the ground in a semi hover (thanks to broken tail servo and stabilizer) and then the tail assembly failing today, thats it. I am gonna send it back and probably get another Black Hawk from KA Planes or perhaps a Blue Ray PE. Anyway, theres my angry rant for the day, just picture me shaking my fist at xheli and you get the full picture. ;D
So, what do you all think I should go for anyway, any great CP heli's out there for around the $300-$350 mark to replace it with?? Thought I would get some opinions too. Want all CNC at least and CF a bonus. Also 2.4GHz.
Now off to drink some beer at a friends graduation party to help ease the anger...... ;D

Weird how that works out. Karma, I think they call it.
I've ordered and received 5 helis and tons of parts from XHeli/Raidentech, all in perfect shape. Two were gifts and shipped in the US, but the other 3 were shipped to Canada and subjected to two postal systems.
Oh well, whatever works.

Like Sol I too have had good luck with the shipping, could be I have only ordered one heli from them my Falcon. Guess I could be in RTFs' position and if I were I know I would feel the same. Not that I plan to order anything from them in the near future but you would think someone would pick up on how much money we are sending overseas to china and jump in there and get a piece of the pie and keep the money here in the US.
Hey guys lets start a distributorship/manufacture/kick their as@ company and call it Heli USA........oh to dream ;D

Kiwi, that is really a sad story. I have had good luck with Xheli, other than the crap that they sell.
I really think the entire problem over at Xheli is the Exceed brand.
It's the lowest crap they can buy from somewhere in China. Even the Walkera stuff they sell has been reworked to be cheaper and by far crappier.
ALL of the Exceed stuff in the coax world is crap.
But, given that, I think we are so far lucky in the electronics world with the 450 class stuff. At least my motor and ESC has not caught on fire yet. But I do think their 3500kv 400 motor may be misclassified. I have yet to prove this.
I will post soon a way to build a 450 class heli for about $140 complete less radio..... Once it's tested that is... This build is from another forum. Kent

Hey Kiwi, this is getting to be an all to framiliar post from you and quite a few others. Although I have had great luck with xheli and Andy on what I needed, it's only a matter of time. Lately I've been getting parts elsewere as xheli is critically low on alot of needed items. Anyway, Kiwi, hang in there, get your heli money back, and go get a good one.

There a ton of good 450 helis at that price. It's unfortunate what happened to you. Its also unfortunate that the phrase "Ready to Fly" doesn't really mean exactly that. I wish that this phrase would go away. All helis should be inspected and set up by the end user. However, they make you believe this is not the case. Which is sort of on the sleazy/slick side of sales. Like solitaire, I haven't had a problem with xheli, but you can't help but wonder about the consistent complaints of bent shafts, flybars, scratches and dings on "new" helis. I've kind of moved out of that arena anyway.
I favor building kits now. I am constantly learning from every build. Flying is fun, but building is just as fun for me. That's why I would recommend building your own heli. Akent wants to start a thread about building a flyable 450 for less than $140 dollars (without the radio). If you add a $180 DX6i radio (which comes with the AR6200 receiver), you're looking at $320 dollars to fly something that you now know inside and out. That's right in the price range you quoted.

Yea, Kent emailed the info to me a while back on that 450 size heli for $140. Thats one hell of a deal there. Kent if you get that kit, let us know what you think of it.
I would realy enjoy building a heli (probably as much if not more than flying) but just dont think I have the knowhow at this point.
As far as Xheli, I have bought 4 heli's and tons of parts from them, and maybe Ive been lucky, but all has been good so far.
Now, on the other hand, I have emailed Banana Hobby twice now and it has been two weeks with no reply concerning a purchase I was considering ..............NOT NOW. If I cant get an answer to making an educated purchase, whats going to happen when I need help later ?
water trap............I can type the word Banana Hobby, and it wont get removed from my post, thats nice ..............................LOL.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Kiwi. I, like alot of the other guys have only had good luck with Xheli. I have been jonesin' for a new heli for a while now but with all the negative comments and the fact that they are out of stock on alot of stuff, have been leary of ordering from them.
I think I may spend my money at one of the LHS near here. Well not really near, the closest one is about 40 miles away. Atleast if they try to rip me off they will have to do it to my face...which I really don't think they want to do.

Order from Ka-planes, I have bought from them several times and had my stuff in 4-5 days, pretty good for Florida to Montana service. They carry Blackhawks, that's why I mentioned them.

I have had pretty good luck with x-heli. On this I dont think its them it is the heli. I ordered my blackhawk 450se It is shit. 1 stripped servo bad rx or tx or both. I am going to get a hold of them today and ship it back. I also need to know what might be worth getting an not a hunk of crap. I traded my HBFP for a 22e which right now is flying more than my black hawk. Oh well though I hope x-heli makes it right for me.

Hey Frank, Did you noitce that your word "Sh _ T" was changed to "brown". I used the same word earlier and it changed to the same "brown". Thats pretty Da_ n funny. Guess you cant spell the entire word if it is considered improper.

That's too funny how the words are changed!
Hey Ranben, you would have no problem building up a 450 Trex clone. Between Nuttcaze's and Finless Bob's videos and having access to online Trex manuals, it's actually pretty easy. There is a lot to learn, though, and I sure had a blast learning and building mine. At least when I crash mine now, I will know how to rebuild it! Kent

good to know that 22e is treating franklin good. Traded it for his hbfp. The 22e was a bit more than i could handle. (Could hover it barely, too afraid to send parts flying in a crash though). I have bought 2 helis from xheli. A falcon 40. servo stripped. Sold it and ordered an esky lama. Both in great shape when i got em. Andy was always a life saver. Shame he went mia.
