Yep, before I could even finish a build thread!! I had just flown my 450 and the ES600 was feeling really good, so I tried a flip. Bad idea. It wasn't setup well enough for that. It crashed nose first hard.

Here is a list of parts so far:
1. 3 x DS821 gear sets - $18 2. Feathering shaft - $3.50 3. Main shaft - $3.00 4. Tail shaft - $2.00 5. Tail gear - $1.50 6. Boom - $4.00 7. Tail servo rod - $2.00 8. CNC Tail rotor center hub - $3.50 9. CF horizontal fin - $8.00 10. Belt - $5.00 11. Flybar - $2.00 12. Tail pitch control rod - $2.50 13. Fiberglass canopy - $22.00 14. CF 550mm main blades from Hobbycity - $45.00 15. K&B tail blades - $12.00 16. Main gear - $3.00
Total: $137 including all the blades. The Esky parts are pretty cheap to buy. If I had gone with a plastic canopy, then those cost $7, so that would have saved $17, but they are ugly, I think.
What's amazing is that the Align DS620 tail servo SURVIVED!!! It has metal gears and feels pretty smooth! It even snapped the servo arm off! That's incredible.
I have most of the parts, but not all. They should be here over the next week or so.
What's amazing are the parts that survived. 1. The Trex 600 landing gear! 2. The K&B flybar paddles 3. The DS620 tail servo
Kent.

I guess the bigger they are, the more round they become when they crash!! ;D ;D That's what I hate about larger helis. The main blades and canopy are over half the cost of all that damage.

OOOOUUUUCHHH! Sorry to see the carnage, Kent. But it is fun to build these things...even the second time. Just wish it didn't cost so much ;D

That's a shame, Kent. You barely had it long enough to make adjustments. Maybe with the new parts, your vibration problem will be solved.

Hi Sol: I actually had found the vibration problem the battery before the crash!!
It was from the dampers being DRY AS A BONE! The head was assembled already. It was really hard to get the feathering shaft out. I greased everything up with some good ole Vaseline and it went together really nice and the vibrations were GONE!!! One of the dampers was actually inside out. I don't know how they got this thing together in the first place.
These helis are actually great fliers. The little bit I got to fly it, I really like it. Once I get it rebuilt, I'll do my best to learn the bird before a do another stupid! Kent
