Its almost fall time and the temp is slowly dropping. Do you or can you fly your helis in the winter? Last winter I didn't know how to fly so it was not an issue. If you can fly in the cold, how different will the heli react compared to the warmer weather.

Yep, just keep the heli in a warm place until you take here outside.
It should fly the same if there is no condensation on it that could turn to ice.
If you fly off the snow you can use floats to keep the skids from sinking in.
Happy landings

Aluminum shrinks a little so belt tension is an issue. Might want a TT upgrade or a CF tail boom.
Otherwise, your physical limitations are the only problems in the cold ;D

I am looking forward to the winter, will be nice to see some 50 and 60 degree weather, hell ...the 70's during the day would be nice too. Enough of the 98 degree weather with 90% humidity.

I believe if you do flying in extreme cold, say 32 or below it will shorten the battery life a little correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Not neccessarily so Dave. If you go out with a room temp battery the current draw from flying will keep it plenty warm to fly normal times. I do this all the time in the winter down to minus numbers and haven't had a problem yet with lipos. Maybe NiMh's are different. Don't know. ;D
I also haven't had any problem with belts either.
I've heard of some problems with servos, but I think that might be a humidity problem with condensation in the case and freezing as the temp drops.
Another thought on the hiumidity thing: Anywhere that's cold and high humdity might cause other problems too besides just the servos. Where I live it's usually very dry in the winter so everything seems to work OK.
Happy landings
