Has anyone ever had to dispute a transaction on ebay? I might have to do one and want to know what I have to do. I have already sent an email to customer service.
I purchased a few things from an ebay store, and now the store and user is no longer a registered user. I only have a receipt for the payment. No confirmation on if the item was sent. I sent ebay and the guy an email last night. Just waiting for a response. Thanks

Been there, done that. Good luck. I did get my refund. It took a couple weeks and a few phone calls and then in the end paypal and the seller both refunded me so it was left to me to refund paypal their money.

Went similar route after seller agrred to make good on my complaint then preceeded to ignore issue.Opened up dispute with ebay and he resolved it rather quickly.
Since your seller has disappeared from ebay I would contact paypal first(they are owned by ebay I believe) since they do have a fiduciary responsiblity to you(protect and serve?)
I had one serious dispute with seller from China(changing shipping cost after the fact) and once ebay started to investigate, he was gone. It seems that's what some do, scam as much as they can before they get caught, then disapear, sometimes to return under another name
Good luck with your dispute.
