This is amazing. The Red Bull BO-105 actually does a flip! And other stuff like loops, rolls, split S's, stall turns, emmelman's! www.flixxy.com/red-bull-helicopter-aerobatics.htmI never thought there was a real one that could do any of this! Wow! Kent

Pretty amazing!
A heli pilot told me one thing when I asked him about doing stuff like that:
"There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but you won't find a lot of pilots that are old and bold."

What that guy told you RC is so true. Not only is it true about pilots it is also true about other people you meet throughout life........just look at 19k and Sol.........they are old ;D

Sol's just a pup, but I'm old. Dave just LOOKS old. ;D
Anyway, I saw that vid about a year ago and it was brought to my attention by a friend who saw that guy perform at Oshkosh.
That's a purpose built aircraft with the best of stuff to be able to perform like that, and the pilots put in endless hours of practice to assure that, what looks risky to us, is, more or less, another day at the office.
Paraphrasing one of the top aerobatic pilots; "When you're operating within your own capabilities and the equipment is capable then it's not really that much of a risk. It's when you exceed either yours, or the equipments capabilities, that you're screwed."
Happy landings
