I found a 450 CNC T-rex kit fit only $250 with motor, esc, and battery, pretty sweet if you ask me!! Anywho, I was thinking that to save money at the moment and just get to fly the thing round, would a cheaper 72Mhz tx/rx? I was also thinking of using the following:
Towerpro servos on head and tail
Basic HH gyro for the meantime (what are good options?)
I can so all this for a really good price and then would likely go the DX6/Ar6200 combo later as money allowed. Would using these cheaper things just let me get flying ok and learn some more flight skills. Looks like a really good option so far. THanks.

(4) Tower Pro SG 90 Servos (1) Telebee TLB01 Head Lock Gyro
Then of course a radio and receiver from a Blue Ray or Belt CP.The cheap replacements from someplace like Xheli will fly it fine.

I found a W-fly rx/tx system from KA Planes that sells the T-rex that looks good. Has a gyro sensitivity adjust and pitch control but is only 72Mhz. Will this still work ok?? Thanks ern

I don't think the Tower servo is going to be fast or strong enough for the tail.
You really need a digital servo that is faster than 0.1 seconds for 60 degrees.
Over at Deal Extreme, there is a Futaba 401 clone for sale (the Xmhobbies G401B) for $23.50!! I have one coming, so I will do a report on it. If you look at the other threads here, I posted a link to that, which then has a link to a huge discussion about it. Kent

I would also highly recommend saving up for a DX6i radio.
These make setting up a ccpm a breeze. Kent

I hope you understand that I was keeping in the faith of the post when I suggested the servos.CHEAP.
Ask about the greater and faster servos and I'll look it up.
I don't even have to go online. My PC has some good stuff.
