went to set up the EXI head today and what a strange setup it gave me fits Ended up shortening the short rods all the way to get 0 pitch at center stick which gave me +- 11 degrees in idle up took a while to figure this out but at this moment I will take a copterx head any day for adjusting ;D

I have not noticed all that much of a difference between setting up Trex,HK450, EXI or copterx heads. They all may start at different lengths but if you go by the head being straight and level and zero pitch at mid stick, it to me does not seem to be that much different other than one may start off further off then the other. Did you work your way down from the top, or up from the bottom or randomly change lengths?

Yep, that's strange, Phil. I've had several Copter-X, EXI, and even some off eBay that were all just about the same right out of the package. Not sure why yours wasn't.

yes Ditch66 I worked my way up to set the head what I talking about is this head is completely different from the trex or copterx heads it has control bars that the others don't and it threw me off on how to set it up it has extra levers and those levers have two control rods the short and the long go to it I think I can safely say that it is not a bell hiller head like the copterx heads but right or wrong I got her adjusted thank" for the come back's

Well, it's definitely "like" an EXI head. The only difference maybe in the servo setup on that XL frame. That may have been the cause of your grief, but can't tell from the pics.

Ah, you tricky beggar, Phil. You were just trying to confuse us with a sideways pic and one out of focus. I guess there were a couple of hints... Attachments:
