You can't beat a good sim every time you crash on a sim it doesn't cost anything yet gives you valuable hand eye coordination the more you practice on a sim the easier it will be to fly the real heli just my 4 cents on sims

Check my post on your other sim question. You'll need a different Tx that will support up to 6ch. like a DX6i or even a 5ch like the DX5e will work with the phoenix sim. I don't think any sim works with 3ch. Good time for you to move into an upgraded heli in the virtual world. ;D
Happy landings

cruiser645,, I'd like to know what experience you have and what is your goal? If you plan on continuing in this hobby and you want to increase your skills and upgrade into bigger helis,,then I'd suggest something like this; www.heliguy.com/Flight-Simulators/Phoenix-Sim/Phoenix-Flight-Simulator-and-Esky-6CH-Transmitter/The Phoenix sim is very good. A lot of guys on this BB use it. This one comes with a cheap e-sky transmitter but you can use it on a better transmitter down the road. If you have hopes of flying 6 channels CP helis,,you will need a 6 channel transmitter. Simulators are PRICELESS,,,,they will save you hundreds of $$ in crashes and parts. If you are on a budget or don't want to get in too deep,,,then the sim AKPHILL recommended is fine. It will give the training you need in a 'cartoon' kind of way. The Phoenix is very realistic. Sure,,,a guy can "trial and error" their way thru learning how to fly helis,,,,,but doing that WILL cost you more money and maybe frustrate you to the point of quitting! WE don't want that!!! Randy
