Coming soon to a LHS near you! E-Flite is coming out with a new 6 channel CP called the SR. It is a 2.4 Gh RTF (only) heli that weighs in at 12 oz., and operates on a 11.1 volt 1000Mah battery. Rotor diameter is 21.8". It has an E-Flite G110 heading lock gyro, a 3900Kv brushless main motor, and has a direct drive tail motor. The price is $199.00 and it is due out mid Feb. Similar in appearance to the mSR, but larger. There are photos on the Horizon Hobby website. ;D

I`m not buying one. Really I`m not. Seriously. I swear. I`m just looking (this is what I told my wife, she looked over my shoulder as I was reading the post). Oh boy, if I got it, she would divorce me I think................... Colin

It could be a winner if they did away with the motorized tail. Plus, Horizon isn't supplying a BNF version anytime soon, so you're stuck with another Tx to add to your collection.

I posted the SR release over in beginners. I think this might be a great transitional heli. At least that's what it's intended to be. Serious addicts not withstanding. ;D
Happy landings

The HP6 is actually a nice radio that should be easy to sell on eBay for $85 or so. It will bind to all the same RX's a DX6i or DX7 will. The heli has a 6100e RX so it will bind to any DSM2 radios.

Well, it seems that Horizon is now considering selling a BNF version after the feedback they received on various forums.
I can see their point of only offering RTF versions since they are advertising this as a transitional heli and they've programmed in a basic beginners setup in the Tx. They might lose that control if they go to a BNF. We'll see what transpires.

Ernie, you have no idea how much I would love to take you up on that offer. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we are planning a trip to Jamaica in April so most of my money is going to be tied up in the trip. But if it's still available after that, we'll talk then. Thanks anyway dude! ;D
