Hey RTF, or anyone. You sent me a new tail motor for my HB and i need to increase the hole size for the pinion gear. If you or anyone that has or has to do such a thing, can you provide a video or pics and walk thru on how to do it.
If you have done it, could you at least post some pics of the finish and talk me thru how you did it? i have noticed it is a very delicate operation. The other choice i have is if anyone knows of a tail mount that has a bigger hole for the new motor i can buy and put on my HB.
thanks.

Coffin Sorry no picture but if this is like the Falcon all I did was take a dremel with a new cutting tool and ever so carefully enlarged the hole a little at a time until the pinion went through.

What's the diameter of the shaft on the new motor? And have you considered going direct drive?

If you are increasing the hole in the pinion just give me your shaft dia. and I will tell you what numbered drill will give you a press fit. Ray

Yea Coffin you increasing the hole in the pinion or the hole in the tail boom that the pinion goes through I got a motor from RTF way back and it came with the pinion installed, had to enlarge the hole in the boom for the pinion to go through it. Dave
