Here is a video with an autorotation that I had to do because I lost control. Still trying to figure out exactly why I lost control. The belt was pretty loose after all of this, so I'm going to drill some holes and pin the boom at both ends, hopefully that will help.
Could also be a result of bad electronics. These servos were all in the HK500 when it crashed, but I replaced the gears on all of them and they tested out just fine. The heli was flying just fine, but when I had to cut throttle it was basically because I was giving it full forward elevator and it was still going backward. No real control of the heli at the time.
I had to do this auto at the last second, but all things considering, it appears that I only broke part of the skid. If I didn't auto at all, this thing would have been in much worse condition.

Thanks guys, just tested out the head and everything is fine. A little glue on the skid and she was ready to go again. Only flew a minute in my backyard though, so we'll see how she does when I get her in the field. Gonna order some new skids too, just incase.

Thanks Dave. I still don't know why I couldn't go forward. As I said, the tail was loose, but I don't see how that would completely affect the cyclic controls. Maybe these DS520's have been through too much with the HK500 crash. They test out fine though, so I don't know. Anyone have anything like this happen to them?
It may have been the wind, but I highly doubt it. We got some big gusts later on, but it didn't seem real windy at all when I was flying this one.
These DS520s strip a gear so easily as it is, maybe I should go to another servo for the cyclics. Does anyone else here have anything on their 500 that they're happy with (other than DS510 and DS520)?
