Wow,,,that has to be the worst pilot ever. The jet veared off BEHIND him and he didn't have enough sense to shut it down? I would have beat his a$$ before he had a chance to land it! I would have taken his Tx AND his jet and held it for ransom until he passed his G-E-D!! What a maroon!!

WoW I think that pilot did a wonderful job of scaring the what right out out of the camera people this video has been around for a long time and the turbine guy's say that when you give the turbines fuel you are committed to go so it was get it up or plow right into someone after the ruff start of the flight and in that sense the pilot did good imo

This guy was stupid and got lucky-lucky-lucky. I didn't hear ANY power decrease like he even tried. I'll go listen again!!

No power decrease that I heard. I think he tried to lift off way too soon and with not enough air flow over the control surfaces, it had a mind of it's own. The one guy almost had a free flight. Just about skewered like a shish-kabob.

First of all, if it's for real, and it looks like it is, they're a bunch of idiots for not having all the spectators behind a fence like the clubs do here.
Here, at AMA clubs, there is a flight line for the pilot(s) and then, considerably behind that, there is a fence and nobody but the pilots, their crew, if any, are allowed beyond the fence or on the flight line during flying sessions. It doesn't eliminate all the spectator related accidents, but it cuts out 99% of them. That could have been a nasty one.
That reminds me, I've been meaning to mention that, for those who may not know, if you do have a flying accident involving people or propetry, most times your homeowner's liability insurance follows you unless there is excess negligence on your part. Check with your carrier.
Happy landings
