Hey guys I need some help I am setting up a full brushless 180D I have a 6110 RX I have seen this setup before and it works I just have a glitch. The main ESC goes to the throttle of course the gyro plugs into the rudder then the tail ESC into the gyro. With the center red wire removed (you do not want to power the receiver from two different places) Now the problem the tail esc will not initialize it beeps rapidly just like if you try and initialize one with the throttle to high. I have tried initializing it with the rudder trim maxed both ways nothing. I think it is not seeing a low throttle signal. How do you program a TX to get this esc to initialize??? or how do you program the esc to see a center throttle point any ideas??? Thanks Ray

Did you set your throttle points before cutting the red wire? Have you tried bypassing the gyro?

I set the throttle points and yes I did bypass the gyro but it must be picking up a stray signal that makes it think the throttle is to high. Maybe I should set the throttle points at mid throttle for the low setting I don't know if that would make any difference or not. I can put the clip back in I just removed it from the plug.. Ray

I reset the throttle points so the bottom or off was about 1/4 of the way up then I gave it full right rudder and then it arms I think I can get it to arm without giving it full rudder by setting the subtrims or by making it a slave to the throttle any ideas??? Ray

I was just going to reply to your second post. Maybe you're having the same problem elk did with his DX7 on one setup. He had to lower the throttle trim down a couple of notches to get his ESC to arm.
Where was the throttle trim when you first tried? I take it this is on the DX6i.

Yes sir it is the DX6I the trims where at the bottom when I first setup throttle points then i thought well maybe that was to sensitive so I bumped the throttle at the bottom setting up a few clicks then it worked plugged in the gyro and as the boom swings the motor speeds up. Now if I could get it to arm at the center point and also I am having a little trouble getting the dx6i to make the throttle the master and the rudder the slave I want to do this to prevent the tail motor from starting up when there is no throttle. Throttle for the tail at center rudder,, most of the time I have read you had to give it full rudder to see the low throttle point. It stands to reason the pot has a different value so I kept setting the low throttle point of the esc at a higher value untill I hit the right combo. now the esc will arm at center stick on the rudder instead of having to give it full left rudder. You just turn on the tx plug in the heli and everything arms and works.. Ray
