Well, I've been thinking of changing to a Spektrum TX but changed my mind when I found some comparably priced RX options. In the process, I found a guy selling brand new Futaba 7C 2.4 TXs. Looks like he splits out the RX and the servos and sells everything separately. I got the TX for $105 including shipping. COOL! Now I'll have to figure out what to do with the 1 year old 6EX.

That's an excellent buy. What did you find for "comparably priced RX options"?
I was that ---> <--- close to getting a 7C last year before the DX6i Too late to change now with all the AR6100's in use.

The RX I found that is at least in the acceptable ball park is the R6106HF -- ~$60.00. No micro connectors. The micro connectors on the R616 make it impractical because of the cost to adapt --- around $5 per servo for an adapter harness. the R617 can be had for anywhere from $75 to $95. This is what I have on my 450, but kind of pricey. There is also a 4 channel in the $40 to $50 range that would be okay for small planes. Here's my new toy: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250581929649&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Nice, BT! Futaba has historically been on top, and they have been around RC forever. I still love the feel of my 25 year old 4 channel AM Futaba transmitters!! I still have two of those and three of the old giant receivers.
Those things always worked, crash after crash! Kent
