Thanks guys, I figured it out. I helped another guy out at rcuniverse setting upthe mixing for spoilerons and flaperons and he traded me for a pic of the nose gear. Looks like the servo I borrowed from my wrecked t-28 isn't doesn't have the same dimensions as the stock one in the habu. It's a little shorter, lengthwise - and the servo arm is much shorter.
Off to my LHS when I get back on Wednesday.

Ah, that explains it. Betcha it's an SV80 servo that you tried to replace with a 1060 or 1080

Sorry to hear about the crash Gabe, glad to hear nobody was hurt though. That is one nice looking jet, but I looked at the price...wow! I'm finding it at $400 BNF. Is it worth the price? I've had a bad experience with my planks from Nitroplanes, and I love all of my parkzone planks, so I'm thinking it would be worth it for the quality. I'd probably have 15 sticks of glue in mine within a month,

I've had a bad experience with my planks from Nitroplanes, and I love all of my parkzone planks, so I'm thinking it would be worth it for the quality. I'd probably have 15 sticks of glue in mine within a month, In my opinion, it was worth every penny. I hadrhe jet for months without a single incident. It flies without issues or problems and has never failed me. I've spent at least. $400 on jets and electronics and parts from Nitroplanes just because their stuff is crap. The Habu is the best edf I have flow yet! I'm not sure if I mentioned this on the other threads or not, but Parkzone really did a phenomenal job with the replacement parts. I was able to completely replace the entire wing and fuse within a half hour. The edf and motor BOLT into pre-installed mounts on the fuse; it comes with the servo wires pre-installed, and the battery mount and straps are all caulked in and ready to go. The wing installation was just installing the servos and running the wire. Tape was included and it all comes together with ONE BOLT. Did I mention the customer service was great as well? I ordered the replacement nose gear assembly and it didn't come with mounting screws. I emailed Horizon about it and they actually CALLED me. The girl was really nice and sent out the hardware right away. She just wanted to doubl check on the parts I needed. Honestly Butz, I sound like a salesman for Parkzone, but i'm not - just an overly satisfied consumer. Hail Parkzone!!

Cool, thanks for the info Gabe. maybe there is a habu in my future. I love Parkzone planks, the micros are a blast and the Typhoon 2 3D is my favorite plank ever. Got 2 planks from Nitroplanes and I haven't been happy with either of them, so I smell what you're steppin' in there. Glad to hear you're up and running again, now let see some video.

Maiden flight on the Habu rebuild was heavenly - as expected. I'm still down a battery so I only got 3 minutes of flight time today - better than nothing!
Came in HOT on the landing though. Tail wind was pushing 12-15mph. On the approach I must have been screaming at 25-30mph. One little skip...heading for the trees....little left rudder...flat spin bounce on the landing gear...SHE's GOOD! Taxi'ed back to me with no damage! Dude, I LOVE EPP foam!
