What do I do first?! I’m like a kid at Christmas today. I when by the Hobby Town and found they had one sheet of EPP left. Perfect for cutting out the F22. I went home to find out Hobby City had came through with my servos and new motor to make my Super Cub brushless and with Ailerons. I then find that my brand new Futaba 7C has been delivered. Now which toy should I play with first? • Cut out the F22? • Add the Ailerons to the Cub? • Mount the new motor, new servos & setup the ESC and RX on the Cub? • Play with the Futaba and read the manual? I don’t know The only thing I can decide on is to wait on reading the manual . The rest of it I want to do all at once. What a terrible problem to have! ;D

I'm in a similar dilemma. There might be no right answer. Put a list of all the projects up on a dart board or wait for a Epiphany. I got it. I'll go flying and break something that needs to be fixed much more than starting, or finishing, a project. What a stroke of geeeeeeeeeeeenius.

Sometimes they do pop by themselves. Faster to go to the doctor, though. Never tried a dart Got to go buy some glue and drink enough coffee to stay up all night ;D

Dontcha just hate it when everything comes in at once? OK, here's the deal. You don't want to read the manual, so the 7C will have to wait...probably til the next bathroom run. The SC is working the way it is stock, so the upgrade parts can sit for a while. Including the ailerons...you need some more thinking on that anyway. That leaves the table clear for laying out the EPP. Start cutting BT...or get your wife to do it...she may have steadier hands. ;D

Already have all the EPP cut for the F22. Already have the old motor out of the SC and am playing with the mount before burning holes for the ESC, etc. Already have a wooden framework made up to mount my SC servos...Man I'm tired!. Actually I put the spars in yesterday. Yep, good idea on the 7C manual Sol. I think I can get through half of it in one trip...and I'm a slow reader. With a house full of girls, sometimes that's the most peaceful place in the house. ;D What makes you think my wife has steady hands. She is a beautiful, intelligent woman WHO LIVES WITH ME! She drinks A LOT! ;D

Very smart, Dube. I'm not touching that one either. And I had such a good zinger, too.

I am truly disappointed in you guys I lobbed a slow one right over the plate for you and I figured I would get some SA remarks in return and maybe even an out-of-the-park shot. But you just let it float by. What is this forum coming to? Are we going to start wearing ties and teaching each other which fork to use first? (Probably be best to start simple first and just learn to use a fork.)

I love it, BT!
So, what did you decide to work on now?
I must admit, it's really hard for me to sleep when things like that crop up in the toy shed! Kent

Hmmm, I haven't worn a tie for 30 years and not only can I use a fork, but a knife too. ...maybe not at the same time. But...no worries...I have no problem taking shots when I know the recipient can handle it. I won't take advantage of someone's lovely wife when she has no means to reciprocate. Especially when someone's lovely wife has a drinking problem. ;D Kinda backdoored that one.

Well, Kent, I cut out the foam and glued a few pieces of CF. Played with the Futaba a little bit. Disassembled the Super Cub and started laying out the electronics and figuring out how much I was going to have to mod the cowling. I ended up spending at least an hour or so reading your F22 posts again and quite a bit of stuff on RCGroups. Spent what little time I had this evening throwing rocks at Sol and gluing the rest of the CF. I went to my LHS and bought a brushless and ESC. Not a bad price (looks like he gets it from Hobby King ;D) a far markup. But the CF prices kill me. I need to load up next time I order something from HK. BTW, I have a Weller Soldering gun that I am cutting my CF groves with. I had some solid copper wire that I shaped into a good countersinking tool. Also I took another piece and hammered it down flat. It cuts pretty accurately like a hot knife in butter. Nice. I'll tinker with it more tomorrow. I like making stuff almost as much as flying it.

Crap, there's rocks all over my floor...covered in expanded foam I just loaded up with 1.8 and 2mm CF rod from HC. Problem is they automatically add a 379g box (for the extra length) and insist on sending via EMS which is $24 or so. Best to buy it with a load of other items to help amortize the cost. If you have to get it online in the US, this guy seems reasonable. www.rcskyflyer.com/BuyEppFoam_.html
