Kent Kent,,,I'm 1 1/2 miles from shore with my Dodge pickup next to my fish shack. Even thou there is about 26" of ice,,when the ice builds it expands and cracks,,,sounds like thunder and you can feel the ice shake under you. It is perfectly safe,,,26" would support a doozer.

Nice. Are you running a 60A ESC? No,,it's a 45 amp ESC,,,has the same set up and motor that the F-4E has,,,but a smaller exhaust nozzle, and the plane is lighter,,so it's quite faster. I need a radar gun,,,,I bet it's pushing 100 mph.

Doozer probably doesn't weigh as much as you do! He flies helis too! I stand by my 'Holy Crap'! I'm glad you like it. I am not sure there would be any way to drag me a mile and a half onto a frozen thing that could crack at any moment and dump my azz into the frozen abyss. Dayum. I am not sure what to say. Oh, I did know one ole boy from here who moved to Michigan in the 70's. They found his truck a mile or so out in the lake, on the bottom of it. They said they wanted to fine him for pollution, once they read the plates. Well, I think he was in the truck. It's kind of a, 'duh' moment. He was never heard from again. Kent

"cracking" means the lake is making ice,,,and pushing against the banks,,,,,it's a good thing!! You need to watch "Ice-Road Truckers",,,LOL.
But yea,,,if a truck or snowmobile goes thru,,the owners has to recover it,,,,,and trust me the fines for not recovering it make the paying a salvage crew worth it. Especially in the big Lakes. Lake Huron has problems with 2 or 3 mile long stretches of ice breaking away,,,,if a guys truck or ski-doo goes over to Canada and sinks,,,,,the costs could be $1 mil in fines.
Got to admit thou,,,,it's a great flying site!!!

Amazing to be sure, for a flying site!!! In fact, really, I can't imagine anything better. You have that soft fluffy pillow stuff for the things to land on and infinite space! Wow!
Incredible. Maybe in my next life I'll get to experience something like that! Kent
