Super Cub Wing Mods

I put some CF wing spars in the Super Cub the other day. Below are some pics. I used a Drimell to cut the groves about 1/4 inch deep using a steel ruler as a guide and glued it down with the clear gorilla. I used painter's tape to help keep the glue in the grove and scrapped the excess when done. The wings are much stiffer. I am thinking about adding a small piece of CF in the middle, but it would have to be removed before I flattened the wing (removed the dihedral).

Next for the Super Cub is Ailerons, brushless and setting it up on my new Futaba TX.

Nice BT. Ailerons should be a simple modification. A v-cut with your hobby knife and some hinge tape and your on your way.

Nice work BT. If you're planning on flying it much with that big motor it might be worth your while to add at least one spar through the dihedral break. You can cut it out and re-glue it when you go to the flat wing. Either that or tape it up good.
