I buy from my LHS and its either E-flite or Parkzone all the way. When I do buy from Nitro Planes, I get the airframe only (kit-version) and use all E-flite or Parkzone electronics. You'll hear a lot of guys talk about cheaper motors and electronics that work just as good - but in my experience, you get what you pay for. I have NEVER had an issue with Parkzone or E-Flite. Everything works as it should. You can order Parkzone and E-flite directly from www.horizonhobby.com. For more detailed information visit: www.parkzone.comwww.e-fliterc.comWelcome to the additiction!

If I am going to buy a Horizon Hobby product (Parkzone, E-flite, Spektrum, Hangar9, etc) I always buy from my LHS. I like to support those guys as much as possible. The internet has put a real hurting on the small local guys and shops are closing all the time. I would really hate to see these guys go. It is a family run shop and the folks are super freindly and very knowledgeable about most anything RC.
Also, since Horizon price regulates their products, LHS price is the same price as anywhere on the net but because I am a regular customer (wife says a little too regular ;D) I usually get a nice discount.
All that being said, somethings I just can't afford to buy at the LHS and stay in this hobby. Lipos being the biggest of those things.

I'm with ya Tony. I usually buy from my LHS guy just for that reason. If I need a part or something and he can't get it for a while, then I order online. Lipo's are another story. Hobbyking is my "go to" for those.

My go-to LHS is Hobbyzone. Hobbyzone isn't just a great store the guys are all my friends. I buy all my horizon planes and parts from them and send them new customers every week, but when it comes to foam, lipos, motors and ESC's I buy a lot of that on the net.

It's not a big store, but big enough. They have the striker in stock. It's a storefront for their warehouse. Tell 'em you know Bob. They'll take good care of you! I'd meet you there today, and this is really ironic, the last time I was going to meet you at a flying event I had a ceiling leak repair, WELL, I HAVE ANOTHER FRICKING CEILING LEAK TODAY! This time from an ice dam on the roof. I'm waiting for the emergency repair team. Did you put a curse on my roof? ;D ;D

Yeah, I saw your other post. I'm in HZ so often I should have a time card. ;D So, now I need to figure out whose put the curse on my roof. ???The "emergency" team hasn't shown yet. I've wasted the whole afternoon waiting.

I get stuff from Hobbyzone over the net all of the time. There's also a nice LHS here too, and they have the E-flight and Parkzone stuff as well. I have to agree with Gabe on the E-flight and Parkzone planks too. Every time I get something from Nitroplanes, it is poor quality. The parkzone planks are great, love the Typhoon 2 3D and it is a reasonable price too. The E-flight is a bit more spendy, but good quality too.

I'll keep an eye out for that bunny. I won't shoot him though because of the easter season...maybe. ;D
All of the pusher planes scream! Those little props are turning at 15-30K shaft rpms.
