Dubro makes some decent parkflyer skis (available at Hobbyzone)that work great on the park sized planes. I first used them on the SC and use them on all the planks now.
R/C basher's been using floats for flying off the snow.

yea i seen the floats, $22.00 i like the looks of the floats. my ex father inlaw has a real 185 sky wagon with floats and skies for the winter. 350hp. gets off the water from taxi to air in 7 secs. and flys at 145mph with the floats. nice, were still freinds ;D
so i might run down ther sat. you up for it bob.

The floats work good in snow. They work best in light fluffy snow though. The float mount comes unglued sometimes from the foam if you have a hard landing on hard packed snow. I think you might be better off buying the skis if youre going to be flying off of snow only, unless you want the scale appearance of the floats.

Going over to my daughter's house to celebrate 3 birthdays Sat./today. My wife's and daughter's B'days are one day apart and my son in-law is a few weeks later so we celebrate them all at one time. We'll be on staycation for a week (promised the wife no HZ visits on staycation  , but after that we'll meet over at HZ. My usual schedule for HZ is Mon., Wed. or Fri. after lunch. About 1:15. Hope those days are good for you. I'm building a semi-stock SC for my wife to train on this spring. I'm going to add floats for some flying off the lake. |
