I'm looking for an airframe to replace my trashed F-35 from nitroplanes. I'm open for any suggestions.
I've got the Delta V 480 setup - it's 64mm, and a bunch of 4s zippies.
I was looking into the f-18E from nitroplanes. It's $55 for the airframe. I'm not sure what the battery compartment can hold or if there is room to hollow it out for a 2200mah 4s.

Nitroplanes seems to have the best selection of EDF foamies out there and the ARF's are very inexpensive. I had a ArtTech F-18 and it was a good plane. It took a beating landing on grass, but then all of them do over time. Unfortunately they don't sell any ARFs. |

i've bin eyeing up a couple jets on there, but the ones i like are $$$$$$ You might want to try a "starter" EDF like the Art-Techs at notroplanes (psst, I think HZ has a few of those left too) before you jump into the big stuff.  |

just looking bob. the stryker is a hand ful in its self. The only reason, at least for me, to have an EDF is the scale appearance. Your Styker will eat an EDF of similar size for lunch and spit it out on the return pass. ;D |

Well, the Habu has been hit with Radar at 86mph right out of the box, the Stryker is about 65-70mph. It just "feels" faster because of its maneuverability. However, the Stryker is capable of MUCH faster speeds, much easier than the EDF's. All you need is a little CF tubing to strengthen the airframe, wooden elevons, and then beef up the electronics. 140mph for about $250. Yeah, these things have some serious capabilities. If anyone is interested, here is a link to the latest Darkside Stryker thread over at RC Universe.
