In that case, yes! The Stryker will chew up and spit out EDF's runnin' 3S. Way easier and way more fun to fly too! On a side note though, none of my EDF's run 3S anymore. There's just not enough thrust for me. I hate struggling on the takeoffs - I've got a small soccer field with high trees at the end, so I have to pull up quick. Lack of thrust = lack of plane.

You're taking off from a soccer field with EDF's? What are you flying besides the Habu that's got that much thrust?

I had the F-35 until recently. It had the Delta V 480 motor in it. Felt like it was actually faster than the Habu. That thing screamed.
Probably gonna stick it in the Nitro Planes F-18 they have for $55. Can't really beat that price. I just need to get the battery box dimensions and make sure it fits my Zippy 4S batteries.
Yup, the little soccer field by my house is my RC Airport. On the opposite end of the trees, there's a basketball court. On landing, I take the Habu waaaaaay out and glide it just shaving the heads of those playing ball. By the time I get to the grass I'm only about 6' off the deck. Grease the landing and she stops just about 10 yards shy of the trees. Its sketchy, but it works.
Take off's use maybe half the field without flaperons on. I still have yet to try a flaperon take off. My buddy that works at the LHS can take off and land the Habu in a super small parking lot. I'm talking about 1/3 the size of the soccer field. The guy is really good - amazingly good.

The guy is really good - amazingly good. Most of my flying is off of 3 soccer fields and one field with 2 baseball diamonds with a football practice field in the middle. Lots of trees and buildings all around so I'll need to get an EDF off and at altitude pretty quick. I think flapperons will work great. One thing you need to think of is that they make the nose pitch down when you use them so takeoffs and landing require some up elevator to compensate. Another thing is that the wings need to be level so the long, straight in approach you are using is perfect. The whole landing then becomes a throttle and elevator management thing with elevons or a throttle, elevator and rudder thing when you have a rudder. I had an ArtTech F18. It was a beautiful thing. I'm still undecided about a new airframe, but I'm 100% sold on the Delta V 480 your using.

Just got the 85 AMP esc by Turnigy today. Since there's a lack of airflow, it should be perfect in the E-Flite F-16, which is the new home of my Delta V-480. I will be gone till Wednesday, so hopefully I can have her flying by then.
