Yup,,,I just sold my Helicommand to pay for the Align 3G FBL system. Probably have it about tuesday or wesnesday. I'll post the mod as I go along. Doozers thread will help.

I'm glad you'll get the test and tune out of the way first.lol....
I need a couple weeks to get the money and I'm torn between V-Bar and 3G.
I take it you took the HC from the 600?
No biggie.I never really noticed much difference with or without the HC on my 600.The only crash my 600 endured was directly caused by turning the HC on in flight.Ironic,huh?

Yea,,, I stopped and thought a second,,,in the past 30 flights or so I probably had the Helicommand turned on a total of 2 minutes. And I sold it for enough to totally pay for the FBL.
Last night I took the HC off my 600,,,then rigged the head and reprogrammed the TX. I set it up for +/- 12 degrees collective and 9 degrees cyclic. Surprisingly, it only took me 30 minutes.
I got a full day of flying coming up today and all my birds are ready. Going to be about 40 degrees, sunny and no wind today,,,gonna feel like summer,,LOL!!

congats on the fly barless elk, you will like it. i had on my trex700 pro, mine was the skoocum 360. i have since got rid of it for my titon 50se nitro.

I just got thru flying it,,,,the problem with the HC was the cyclic pitch,,,I was afraid to mess with the advanced programming for it. I think the cyclic pitch was about 7 degrees. Now that I have it rigged to 9 degrees,,it really sped it up. Rolls/flips much better. And for some reason,,it is more stable now than when I flew it with the HC off,,I guess the radio mixing is a little better than the HC mixing. |
