Learned my lesson about playing in traffic - yes; about flying things that are stupid fast, no. Currently assessing my budget to build a darkside Stryker from scratch. Approximate speed is 140mph. This could be the cheapest build yet with the most bang for my buck. I think it's about $300 for the build, maybe $350. Just a lot of reinforcement with cf tubing required, and custom motor mount, and wooden elevons, and custom tape job, and custom hollowing out of the electronics bay, and....
All that sounds good, except for one thing I have to point out. Please avoid terms like "assessing my budget" I find that can really ruin this hobby ;D ;D
I agree with BT; but "assessing your budget" isn't just a bummer, it's much too grown up a term to apply to the stuff we're doing. ;D
