Hey, it's good to see you around here! Here's a picture of the F22 after I fixed it. The carbon tube in the fuse was shattered, so I had to dig that out and replace it. The foam is just hot melted back together. Attachments:

Thanks 19k! I just finished up the 500, too. Supposed to be 40mph gusts tomorrow with rain. Windy the rest of the weekend. We had 20+mph winds today. BUMMER!

Nice work Kent. We've had that wind here ever since I got the SR flying.lol....
I had to put lights on it to fly at dusk when the wind is down.

You're getting the kind of weather we usually have up here in the spring. I can say I'm sorry for you, but happy for me. I just noticed; that's the same canopy I've got on my Black Hawk. Man, you've got great taste. ;D

Gabe has the same canopy, too, on his 500! We all have awesome taste!
I took the 500 outside today in the massive gusts and hovered it to check it and the tracking. I love Align blades. No balancing tape needed and they tracked perfectly. These are also very quiet relative to the Youngbloods, which have a bit of a wider cord.
So, this rebuild is a success with no vibrations and a very smooth flyer that can handle HUGE winds! It was concerning a couple of times with the gusts, but the 500 is just awesome!
I just wish I was a better 3d pilot. Someday. Kent

How did I miss this thread? WOW what a crash! Glad you got them all patched back together though. I would still be fuming and sulking about that one, mainly because of the wallet hit. Then again, the foamies probably didn't cost too much to fix ;D

The 500 probably cost around $100 to fix.
The foamies were FREE to fix! Just a few scrap pieces and some glue and paint! I love these foamies! Kent

Great minds think alike boys. It would be fun to see all three of those birds side by side with the same canopies on them.
Nice flyin there Kent. Can't believe you took that puppy out in those winds. I had the 450 out this morning in about 12mph and it was turning the tail a little too much for my taste.
