OK coffin made a suggestion that all items that are "SOLD" be moved and left open to a child board so as to leave the for sale items up front.

Probably a good idea. It will help clean out the "For Sale" area plus give a history on going prices.
The other thing I'd like to see is the seller keep all postings intact and not remove the pic/details after the sale. The pic and details are the only record of what the seller has to offer and removing them makes any recourse difficult if the shipment is missing listed parts/accessories. The sold items pic/details can be simply moved to the new "Sold" child board.
