There are a few imitations out there but nothing is like the real thing. If you are buying Super Skids, make sure that they come from www.super-skids.com I've been using them almost since the beginning of my r/c helicopter experience. I have not broken or bent a pair yet. I'm not sure what the issue is with skids... why can't manufacturers put a little more effort into to making these more reliable? If you break a skid, and your heli lists to one side or the other, you risk smashing blades, bending shafts or much worse. Without skids taking off and landing suddenly become major issues. Now someone could say, "well, if you're careful you'll never break a skid." This is true, and if you're one of those people who can claim this, you don't need Super Skids. I first used super skids on my Honey Bee FP before it took on its current form. I was abusing that thing and it took more than a few high altitude drops. Heli parts everywhere but the Super Skids remained intact. I've hit trees, pavement, and landed in bushes. They are scratched a little on the bottom and that's it. When I switched out the frame on the HBFP to a Guru-Z frame, I used the Guru-z skids. They looked very similar to Super Skids, and I thought I could use the Super Skids elsewhere. The Guru-Z skids didn't even come close. I snapped them twice, and that's a fixed pitch heli with a constant positive pitch. I put the Super Skids from the HBFP on a Walkera 5#10. Anyone I know, who's had this coax for any length of time, has broken the stock skids. I ordered a new pair of Super Skids to put on my 450, and that's where they are at this point. I've since removed the Super Skids from my 5#10 and put them on my new Trex 250. Why on the 250? Here's a link to my explanations: www.rchelitalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nothelirelated&action=display&thread=130&page=1#1467I'm not the worlds best r/c pilot, and super skids keep my Helis safe in ground to air transitions. Heres more pics and a hover video in this post : www.rchelitalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=buildsmods&action=display&thread=50&page=2#272I'll be purchasing more skids for my 300's. I wish they made them in 600 size!

I agree super skids is the best. Don't buy any generic skids because I have and they are not worth the money. They may cost less but there is a reason why. Super skids are so good that I am selling them at: www.rtf-heli.com/Superskids.html because they are just that good - a virtually indestructable landing gear system. Below is a picture of the Super-skids 300 landing gear system on a newly modified Exceed Falcon 40 / Walkera #4 with the Super Skids 300 Landing gear system with Super Grips, Super Skids Titanium Tail boom (267 size), X-treme HBFP Composite Blade Grip, X-treme HBFP Metal Control Paddle, CNC Metal Rotor Core head by Simon, Metal Tail Struts, Metal flybar and Paddle, Brushless Main motor w/ Programmable ESC, N20 Carbon tail motor w/10t pinion and heat sinks, fuse mod installation, 11.1 Volt LIPO battery, ON/OFF switch, and Flamming red hot canopy and blades. Approximately 13 ounces) Click the Image TWICE to ZOOM IN. -Happy Flying !!!

Agreed, I haven't used every "knock off" brand that there is on the market, but I trust super skids.
That makes me want one of your falcons. But I'm accumulating Honey Bees at an alarming rate....

I see the mods look great on the HBFP. You fleet is growing by the minute. I can't even tell it's a HBFP anymore. Cool !!!
I only have two Exceed Blazing Stars, three Exceed Falcon 40's, and two G2's. Everything is going brushless. - working on getting the Exceed Blazing Star Brushless. I hate those carbon brushed motors. The twin 370 carbon motors go for about $20 a pop.
Go Doozer.

I just invested in some super-skids and got them yesterday. Still waiting on a stock frame to come in on Monday to do the re-build but I am very impressed with them so far anyway. They are easy to put together and add a more solid appearance and better look to the little HB. I had the Guru-Z fiber frame and I have finally killed the skids and a couple other pieces on it so thought I would try this approach. I have the extreme 380 motor for it so that will add enough power to it for good flying. Anywho, the superskids guys do a great job with their product, gonna give them a good rating on the directory now that I have used them and others out there seem pretty happy with them too. Can't wait to get the HB rebuilt and ready for action!!
