About a 5 foot wingspan. Getting close to your buddy's Yak, although his appears to be about 8 feet.
Anyway, check the discussion section on that listing, Dube. Seems other have had trouble with it being underpowered. Nothing a different motor couldn't fix, but it's worth a read.

That's a monster. The shipping is going to be as much as the plane. Good point about the motor. I don't know what a 3715 is, and I could find it on the site either. I'd guess its the length and dia. in mm It probaly flies fine without the floats. Could be a propping issue or maybe like the reviews; just not enough power. You'd probably want to be prepared to make your own parts, because I doubt there will be much available there. Or, just buy 2 planes. See how easy I can spend your money. ;D
