Got the Enticement out for it's maiden today. Wind was around 4-5 and the Tx trims on low rates.
Got the motor turning about 80% and underhand launched it into the wind. She went almost straight up, so I dialed the throttle back. Right away I noticed I had almost no aileron control downwind so I flipped the switch to high rates and I was immediately in control. Did quite a few harriers and hovers, flipped it around for some inverted, some inside and outside loops an a little knife edge.
About that time the wind started coming up a bit so I put her into the wind, slowed her down, put her nose up and tail down and crawled in for a landing. One skid caught the grass and it hit the ground on one wing taking it off.
Jeeeeze what a disappointment. I think I'm about done with these depron planes except for a big indoor arena. They are just too fragile for me.

Sorry to hear that. What's an Enticement? It's a 3D plank. Flies good lands like crapoola.

I am finished with Depron. I have six sheets I'll send to anyone for free. Well, maybe not, but I don't like depron any more. It's far too brittle.
With EPP and a fair amount of carbon fiber, you won't be dealing with crappy splinters!
I was able to fix my depron Delta after the 500 crash, but it's fugly. Nothing like the fixed F22 and Yak55. Those are EPP and were hardly hurt when the 500 came down and tore them apart!
I love hot melt glue! Kent

Funny thing. I was flying the Enticement on the Phoenix simulator yesterday at Hobby Zone. I'd never flown it on a simulator before. It was really hard to break it in a crash. I literally had to try to break it. Nose in was the only way to really break it up. I flew a foami Yak 30 after that and it really broke easily on landings. So much for crash simulation accuracy.

OK, the cussed thing was staring at me with that wimpy wing and I caved in. So, I glued the thing back together and stuck it back in my rolling hangar.
But, I swear, this is the last time. *&%(*^%$& depron. ;D

OK. Now I'm done. Took it out this morning and flew it around and was doing some really good hovering etc., all the usual 3D stuff, and when I thought the battery was getting low decided it was time for the supreme test...Landing. There was hardly a breath of wind. Brought it in veryyyyyyy slowly and set it down on the barest patch of ground I could find. It appeared to settle like a feather. From a distance it all looked good, but when I picked it up one of the landing struts was broken off, again. When I rebuilt it I put extra CF in that area. HMMM Well, I thought I'd fly it without the strut. No, that wouldn't be a good idea. Let's EPOXY it on. Did that and checked it over and away we go. It flew about 30 seconds and one wing broke off. Spiralled in and the other wing broke off. Last Chapter: I'm stripping it and then the cussed depron pile of junk is going for a permanent dumpster nap. ;D

Hmm, that sucks to hear. I still haven't even tried to fly mine yet. It wasn't the best looking build for one thing, but the wind has just been to much for that thing right now. I could tell half way through building it that it wasn't the plank for me. It's all held together by glue and heat shrink! I like screws and stronger foam, I'd rather sell the parts for this thing and get another Typhoon 2.
To each their own, I'm sure the lighter profile foamies are a lot of fun, and I have a blast flying it on the sim, but they are probably too fragile for me too. Oh well, I'll fly it until my wind breaks off and try to sell the parts later.
