Got some good flights in yesterday, but, you gotta take the bad with the good sometimes. 3 out of 4 of these videos are pretty good flights, but the first one with the 450 goes a little awry. First up is the 450 flight. It's a quick one, because my tail boom flew out on me while I was inverted, but it makes for an interest inverted piro, lol. I had pinned my boom in 2 places, guess I'll just do it in one from now on. The boom broke into piece right where the screws were. The most amazing thing about this flight was that the servos survived. It landed upside down on the head and the main shaft got pushed down into the frame. This was the first time I destroyed a tail drive gear, but all servo horns were broken, and somehow the DS285 metal gears didn't strip AT ALL. Any other servo would have stripped real bad, but wow. Those DS285 servos are really worth the price. OK, so, it wasn't pilot error, so I got over that crash and pulled out the 500. Still taking it easy, but it was much better than the 450 flight. After flying the 500 I pulled out the 250, OMG that thing was a fast little bigger in comparison. Next time I'll step down from 500 to 450 before going to the 250, it was nimble. Finished off the day with another nice 500 flight with just a little more action. It felt great and came back in 1 piece, so I was on cloud 9 the rest of the day. The 450 is under repair still, but now all I need to replace is the servo horns and she'll be back up and running. Thanks for watching folks.
