I had written it off as a total loss but as you know,I dug a bunch of parts up and got close to a flying heli. Then, our good friend dditch66 sent a care package to get it started. I got it in my head that maybe it would fly. I ordered a Mystery Pentium 30amp ESC and an AR6100e and they arrived today.
I burned up a Futaba servo setting up the tail. Tried a TP9G but the 401B made a joke of that. So I coughed up a DS520 and POW!!!It works!!!!
Hitec HS45 cyclic. Align DS520 tail. 401B gyro. Have no idea what the motor is.lol...It has a 12T pinion.
The maiden hover was a rush. I was going to do commentary but was afraid something was going to blow up any moment.lol....
It was windy too.lol...

You should have seen it when I went to fly my first real flight.lol... I went through the programming in a mad dash walking and punching buttons and like an idiot,I made my idle up pitch curves and throttle curves the same.Wow!!!
I hovered out of the garage walking behind the heli. Got outside with a clear view of the yard and hit idle up. ROCKET MAN.....lol.... 100% flat throttle curve is cool. 100% flat pitch curve is NOT!!! Got about 200 feet in a blink. I nosed it over and did a lap around the property at 100% throttle and 100% pitch. I dropped back to NORM as it came around and brought it down safely.
I was laughing my a$$ off and saying.."Slow down Kracker...it ain't been THAT long"..lol....
I adjusted the hell outta the pitch curve and went back up for a very fun flight.
I even got to do a nose down hover today with the SR. I had it wide open, nose down into the wind and it wouldn't move in the 35-40mph wind.lol...
Flew the 250 today in a few short lulls in the wind.
damn straight it was a good day!!!!

That's fun that you can just open up the junk drawer and put something like that together!!
It will be interesting to see how well that head holds up.
Do you have a metal tail on there?

Plastic tail.Plastic blade grips.Plastic mixing arms.
It has a metal head block and some decent bearing. This heli is a cheapie.lol....
It flys great though.Solid as a rock.

Looks good for a junk yard dog. Prompted my wife to speculate on some carcasses hanging in the den that be recovered and flown again. I told her I just didn't have your ambition so they'll continue to gather dust. ;D
