This one glides nicely, does beautiful loops and occasional knife edge. It also glides inverted pretty well. As you can see by the nose, It landed hard a couple of times, but man it is fun to fly! So easy even my 6 year old was flying it I posted a couple of pics...

Ahah, just my speed. No LiPo's to worry about exploding. No motors to worry about over-amping No expensive Rx's No linkages to worry about bending No ESC's to worry about being undersized No props to break

I actually built it to play around with the KF wing design to see which one glided best. As per everything I read the top step 50% worked well. I tried it with the taper and with even step all the way across. I also tried it with dihedral. I had a blast doing loops with it in the back yard. The tapered did the best loops, but shorter glides. The one without taper did both well. The one with dihedral hardly would complete the loop. Most of the time it uprighted and glided right before it made the top. I think it would have been even better at self righting if I had moved my nose weights as low as possible.
I wore that paper airplane out. Simple fun for simple people ;D

Nope, this one's poster board. A mock up for the next one maybe How big is it? It's a little bird. About a 7" wing span on this. 18" wingspan if built to plan. I don't plan to build to plan ;D

That's cool, BT! It looks in the pics like a bigger bird. There is a design for a foamie that yours looks similar to. I think it's called a 'Sumo' or something like that. Very cool!

Paper airplane. A fancy one, though. Built it as a mock-up, posted it as a joke. So I am a kid at heart. Bet you a dollar you'd be playing around the yard with it too ;D
Kent, It is a mock up of a "fidget3d" I downloaded the plans. I am kind of playing with a Frankenstein of my own making that is based on this. If it works, I'll post. If it doesn't .... We never had this conversation ;D
I would like to do one with 3mm and 9mm EPP, but I am making the Frankenstein out of Dollar Tree Foam and some other foam board from a crafts store. I have a whole $3 in parts so far. No motor or ESC and I'm not sure what size I will need. That will have to wait on the Lotto or something. I already burned all my Hobby money for a while.
