Ace Battery Testing

I found a post a while back from someone asking for people to test out their new LiPo batteries. I thought “nice, free batteries!” and I contacted the person right away, even though it sounded too good to be true.

I spoke to Eric from Ace Battery, a new producer and supplier of batteries out of China that is trying to break into the USA market. He was very confident about their product and had some info to back it up:

After sending enough $$ to cover the shipping charges, about a month later I’ve received my batteries. I figured, if it was a scam, I would only be out $20. I was very happy when the batteries came to my door.

First impression…WOW! These batteries are built with great quality. I’ve never gotten a battery that was so tight. Instead of the typical rounded edges, these things were like solid bricks.

They also charge at a rate of up to 5C, so they charge up quick.

I only received the batteries yesterday and the weather is keeping me from testing them out right now, but as soon as I get a chance I will fire these bad boys up and update back here with a video and my thoughts on performance.
