I'm stocked up with packing tape and various glues, and can't wait for my first crash! The SC is so easy to fix. Tape and glue. A couple of things you might want to do: Reinforce the cowl by putting packing tape INSIDE around the circumference and from front to back, top and bottom, and cut out for the prop and air vents. You may want to pick up a couple of props, gearbox, a cowl and wing struts.

Yup. The prop, cowl, and wing struts are the first things to go in a crash. With my SC, it was the struts everytime. Just take her a ways out, probably further than you are comfortable with, cut the power and glide her in slow. If you take her out far enough, you should be able to grease the landing since she'll be coming in slow.
Best of luck!

Well, I've got everything assembled. I added the 2 3/4" Dubro Diamond pattern tundra tires which look really nice on it. It required getting some aluminum tubing for use in shimming the Dubro wheels to the stock wire axle, but it was easy to do. Big question - how do you get the spinner off of the prop? I have tried pulling on it pretty hard without success, but don't want to break something. BTW, I ordered the plane on 18 November from HobbyZone. The arrival date was supposed to be 3 Dec., but there has just been one delay after another for some reason.

Landing gear on the Stryker? Let me know how that works. It's a real easy hand launch and without the gear you can land anywhere.
The spinner is an easy one. Take a small screwdriver and place it through the holes on the spinner. Grab the prop with one hand (careful, it's kinda sharp) and the screwdriver with the other and turn the screwdriver ccw.
Props should go on with the writing facing the nose of the plank.

Horizon underestimated the demand for the LP BNF, so the dealers like Hobbyzone were left holding the bag with a bunch of preoders. Then the manufacturere ran behind, etc. I'm assuming this one has the rubber spinner. Fold the back part of the sipinner forward to clear the prop and then un-screw it. It's threaded on th shaft, but after removing it a few times you can pull it off.
