The little TREX 250 is bigger than I pictured it.

Its the super skids... with the stock skids on it looks tiny. I'm going to change back to the stock skids... still kind of dialing it in... the motors mount screws keep wiggling loose and the head speed drops out the bottom. I've kind of worried a bit about using threadlock on them. I might just go ahead and do it. Once I get that worked out the stock skids will go back on.

Gonna have to get the wide angle out when the 600 is added to the fleet, Doozer ;D I can't wait until I have that problem. Today was presidents day and It takes him a couple of days to get it because he doesn't actually have them on hand. Then I'm going to have to wait for the electronics, batteries.... etc. The batteries are outfrigginrageous. I'm thinking about A123's but... I don't know. I need some direction....

You going to run 6S or 8S on that 600?
I can't help much with the direction on A123's. I haven't paid that much attention to them...yet. I like the fact they charge up quickly and are seemingly much safer than LiPo's plus the duty cycle appears to be great, but the bulk and weight factors are discouraging.
Availability seems to be a problem as well, although you could build your own, I suppose. From what I've read, only the users with large aircraft reap the benefits from the A123's. The 600 would likely be large enough to handle the extra weight, but it appears most of the heli guys still prefer the LiPo's, mostly due to the weight advantage and physical characteristics.

The only real pro flyer I know suggested running two 3S lipos. I mentioned I was considering a 600 but worried about short flight times. They sell the cable to tandum batteries pretty common.

I wasn't even thinking down that line. No need to get a new charger then either. That just cut about $400 off my total cost. The 6s Lipo was $250, and the charger was $300. I may still get the charger down the road but it won't be a necessity to fly. Thanks for the PM Sol, and thanks for the help Ernie. I think that's what I'll do. Find two high mAh 3s lipos and run it that way.

That was almost a horrible accident too! I was going back and forth taking the helis outside from the inside and my son pulls in.... luckily I was just coming out from inside or he would have run them over. He couldn't see them. My son said he thought someone had died because I was yelling and waving my hands.

Great looking fleet and funny story, Doozer!!
I guess you've looked over at the Zippies at Hobby City?
Those have great reviews and are really cheap!
I'm running a few 2200 30C 11.1's on my Exi's and they run nice and cool, with good flight times. $26 each.
They have some high current ones, too.
I can't wait to see that 600!
Best, Kent

I think someone would have died if he had run over your fleet ;D. And with a fleet that size you could then attach them to you and fly away.
