This is for my rc car, but I figured you guys could still help me on it. I have two screws that thread into plastic, that keep coming out after only a couple of runs. Im pretty sure its do to vibrations since its nitro. I was wondering what I should put on the screws to keep them from coming out. I know for screws that thread into metal you use threadlock but what about plastic? I would just tighten them down after each run but inorder to tighten them down you have to remove the engine which then I have to reset the gear mesh everytime and its a pain. I was thinking maybe super glue might work but I did a google search and found mixed opinions about it. Thanks.

Locktite will work on plastic even silicone sealer once it is cured will work it act's like a damper or a nylock locking nut. Any glue that does not soften the plastic will work I have used 1 min epoxy that works good and you can still get the screws out later.. Ray

Any chance you can drill right through whatever you're trying to attach and use small bolts and nylocks?
If not, sometimes a dab of clear nailpolish over the screw head will hold it in place.

My vote is for silicone sealer. Just a thin coating on the threads and a dab on the end of the screw.

Thanks guys, Ill try some silicone sealer. Solitaire Im not able to drill all the way through it, thanks for the idea though. I might be taking it to the track today and practice if my parts come in time.
