Sol mentioned something about cutting airfoils with a hot wire some time back and I've been running it through my pea brain (Beer drinkers spell that "Pee Brain" ;D). I pictured an old fashioned bow saw with a tensioner at the top. I actually saw several on YouTube that were similar to what I had in mind.
This evening I decided to build it. It took me all of $7.00 in materials and about a half hour. I am going to make a template and stack some foam to test it with. If it works okay, it will be able to cut airfoils up to 36 inches. I'll post pics later. It is real easy to build.
