I dont feel the addiction to helis anymore. I think I might be sick or something. I havent flown my helis in a couple of weeks. Now days it seems like I could care less if I take my helis for a fly. I remember the good ol days when I couldnt put the tx down and as soon the battery was done I had to go fly even if the conditions werent ideal. Do they make a place thats the opposite of rehab? A place to make you addicted again.

You may need a new challenge or a new heli to get your interest back.

Basher,
I had the same problem...and then I tried planks. It changed my life. I still go through phases, but my heli's are collecting dust and my planks are getting tons of use.

Thanks guys. I think the main problem is that the mosquitos are always out. I cant fly without a few of them flying around me. I have plenty of challenges with helis I still havent learned nose in or 3d yet. If I did the upgrades to my super cub that would get my interest back. I want to many things I also want to try racing rc cars.

Yeah the bugs can drive you, er, buggy.
I've been flying early most days and the bugs are out in force and so are the Purple Martins feeding on them.
The birds love it when I put a plane or heli up. The aircraft seem to get the bugs stirred up and the Purple Martins just go nuts. I used to be afraid one would hit a plane or heli, but they're so quick in changing directions they don't even come close. ;D
Maybe if you step away and pusue some other interests for a while the old feelings will come back about the time the bugs dissapate.

You could go for the Blade MSR or 120. I hear the 120 in a killer indoor 4 channel.

Do you have someone you can fly with r/c? Or someone that is interested in heli's that you could teach and share your knowledge with? That might help a little.

The mosquitos seem to have died some. I sat outside yesterday evening for a half an hour and only had one bother me.
I have thought about the msr in the past. But I have the Novus 125 Cp that I can fly inside.
My neighbors dad has planks, and a co axial heli, and some cheaper rc stuff. Hes an older guy in his late 70s early 80s. He used to be in a club that flew planks. He got started in rc when rc still had control lines. And nothing was proportional, the servos where either up or down, the throttle either on or off. Ive only met him a couple of times though I dont think he flys much anymore because his eyesight isnt what it used to be. Although its cool talking to an old time rc'er.
I have had several ruts like this before, I take a break and get back into rc cars for a month or too. Then come back. I can run my rc cars with the mosquitos more than my helis because I can stop and swat at them.

Well I checked myself out of rehab yesterday, and Im making a full recovery to being addicted again. ;D Last night I took my Novus 125 Cp for spin and not one mosquito bothered me. I had some fun with it too, I buzzed a rabbit that was in my yard, it sure got the rabbits interest, even though the 125 was 1/3 its size.
