Do you know that the Spektrum DX6i Transmitter has two settings for transmitter power? They are: A-EU 328 - 100mW for European limits B-US 247 - 200 mW for US limits I checked mine and found that it was set on the European setting, and so I checked with several other DX6i owners locally, and theirs were also on the European setting. I am beginning to suspect that Spektrum sends them all out like that. I changed mine to the US setting and doubled my transmitter power. If you have had any brownout or disconnect problems, you might want to check out your DX6i. Look in the DX6i instruction manual for info on how to switch the settings. The info is next to the range check section.

After reading this it made me go straight home and check mine. It was set to the US setting.
Like scarface said it is in the DX6i manual on page 99. Very short reading and very easy to check.

The DX6i defaults to the EU setting. I would think anyone who hasn't read the manual or at least checked out all the menu items, will also be on the European power setting. Probably a bunch.

If you leave it on the European setting then you will have the same amount of power as the Walkera 2801 pro

My old DX6i that I gave away to a fellow who promptly got out of the hobby (Ranben) had it's setting to the Eu from the factory. Adjusting it from that to the US setting resulted in +3db on my spectrum analyzer, which is almost exactly double the power!
Cool. Now we need a way to up the power beyond that, since obviously it's all programmable! Kent
