I was just messing around, this is my 5th flight with the Champ and as you can see, I hit the telephone wires a couple times but it weighs an ounce, so it doesn't damage anything I really like it. Easy to fly and durable. I even got a loop in there ;D

Thank you gentleman. Now, based on that video...do you think I'm ready for an aileron trainer? I have no issue with orientation...just the damn overhead wires ;D

Cool little plane, Colin. Can't even hear the thing. What do you get out of a battery time-wise?

Depends Sol, if I fly like that all the time, maybe 10 minutes. If I just cruise around gently at half-throttle, I can get around 12 minutes depending on the battery. It uses the same ones as the mSR and I prefer the Turnigy 160mah.

Yep, I'd go for the aileron trainer now.
Orientation and staying clear of obstacles are two big challenges and it looks like you have one of those down good. ;D

Wow, you have a LOT of wires around there!!
The only difference between rudder and aileron turning is that normally turning with ailerons and then letting go will not return the plane to straight flying again, like rudder only will. You have to move the stick in the opposite direction. The way you were flying with the rudders you were always moving it around.
Time for ailerons! Kent

Too many wires Kent but this isn't where I usually fly. It's just so small, you can fly it anywhere.
And I was hoping you would say it's time for an aileron trainer. Feed my addiction why don't ya ;D I'm off to the LHS tomorrow to see what they have. Thanks guys!

I would say go for it but I bet by the time you read this you have already gone for it and have got it. Dang I though this was in the heli video board, this is the first time I have posted over here I believe....thought it felt kind of strange Dave

You know what Dave, I was apprehensive about getting a plane. But I am so glad I did, they are lots of fun to fly and less stressfull than my larger heli's. I am also glad I started small, I think I might not have enjoyed the larger ones so much to start with. For $89 ready to fly, how can you go wrong?

Yea I know what you mean about plane verus heli. I must admit there are a couple of place in the back yard where I have sucked up some grass.....if you know what I mean. I got started some 30 years ago when I started hanging out at the lhs in Montgomery, AL. Got to know the owner real good, me and my misses would even go over to his house and cook out back with him and his wife. Let him talk me into getting a Tellamaster 40 with a Sato 40 4 stroke and a Futaba radio totaled out to be around $450.00, his cost. It grew from there a P51 a glider and the last one was a 1/5 scale F4 Corsair all of which I still have except the P51. Put it right in the middle of a commercial corn field. Drove it so deep had to trash it all and it took us about two hours to even find it.. dedication I guess. Anyways I have all the rest packed away for the rainy day in about ten more years when I can be like 19k...fly all day if that is what I want to do Thanks nub that sure brought back some good memories about fun times and some good friends. Hey Nunya,
Let us know which aileron trainer you decide to pick up. It gets really fun when you have all the control surfaces to work with. I'm sure you're going to have a blast!

I doubt I'd be flying planes or helis if it weren't for electrics. With the fantastic range of sizes, the ease of getting them ready to fly and the fact that you can fly them almost anywhere is an unbeatable combination for me.
